Normandy

Normandy is one of France's richest areas and is a great place to visit let alone to go for a golfing holiday.  The variety of golf courses is quite superb ranging from the cliff top links at Etretat and Dieppe to the beautiful parkland set ups at Champs de Bataille Le Golf Parc and Vaudreuil. Rouen and Deauville/ Trouville are lovely towns to mooch about in the evenings and Evreux is smaller but fully equipped for a good evening. There are also some superb small town hotels with restaurants to die for. All in all Normandy is as good a part of France for golfing as I know. The area is a couple of hours drive from Calais down the motorway or the boat from Portsmouth land at Cherbourg or Caen and you are right in the middle of it. Great courses, great hotels, great food and excellent value.
